Reach Volunteering offers voluntary work experience and transferable skills training to London Met current students and recent graduates. The vibrant student-volunteering programme offers the chance to work in community-based organisations. Develop your personal and/or professional skills, boost your CV and become more employable by learning new skills or gaining useful experience. Make useful contacts that can help in your career, get ideas for your dissertation and benefit your learning. Increase your self-confidence, make new friends and have fun! Our students can gain nationally recognised awards in volunteering. Time commitment can be flexible to fit into your busy schedule.
The range of voluntary posts is vast and relates to various subject areas and interests, including arts and media, animals, business/ admin, marketing, education, criminal/justice, politics, international development, health and social care, mentoring, youth, and environment/ conservation. Some roles could be taken as part of work placement modules. All students who have volunteered can receive a London Met volunteer certificate, please contact us to find out more!
We also offer Skills Development training to help you improve your team work, communication skills, leadership, presentation skills, and time management. Search for current volunteer roles and training here.
Register with Reach Volunteering online, and access volunteer roles and training workshops you can apply for straight away. Come to our fairs and other events. We hold drop-ins twice a week and you can contact us via email, phone and social media.
