Volunteer 5 hours of your time for Marie Curie Cancer Care! This is an one-off activity.

As part of London Volunteers Fortnight, Reach @LondonMet has organised a one-off event with Marie Curie Cancer Care, a high profile charity that raises money to provide much needed care for terminally ill cancer patients within their own homes and in the charity’s Hospices.

Use your communication, planning and marketing skills to help raise much needed funds.

You will spend the day in central London helping to market and promote the charity’s flagship appeal - the Great Daffodil Appeal. You are very welcome to wear fancy dress!

You will be visiting businesses and shops to ask for their support by taking a box of daffodil pins to display and sell in order to raise money for Marie Curie. You will also be distributing promotional material to help market other events that take place throughout the year.

Monday 2 November 2009

Location: Central London (area to be confirmed)

Time: 10am-3pm (1hr lunch break - lunch allowance of up to £3 provided)
